Join the International Security Ligue Team!

We are looking for a writer, with a strong track record of building content and managing daily communication and PR tasks. The International Security Ligue is the association of the leading Security Companies of the world and together, with our members, we lead and shape the security industry.

The International Security Ligue provides a forum to:

  • Understand global security trends
  • Share best practice and ideas
  • Drive up standards
  • Shape global codes of conduct
  • Provide a global voice for the security industry


This new role will support the continued development of the International Security Ligue’s profile through traditional communications and marketing means, as well as utilizing online, social media and other channels, to support the collective needs of the Security Ligue members and the Security Industry. The role is part-time / contracted as a distant working employee.


To engage with International Security Ligue members, Security Ligue Working Groups, and other security sector experts to:

  • Produce media articles which demonstrate the social value of the private security sector and the expertise of the Security Ligue member companies
  • Produce regular ‘Ligazette’ online magazine for our members and other interested parties
  • Develop website content and online content management
  • Design and implement a social media strategy
  • Conduct desk-based research into security trends and developments
  • In conjunction with the Communicatons Working Group and the Project Coordinator, create viewpoints on key issues relevant to the security sector


Essential characteristics

  • Must have an attractive writing style as a storyteller or previous experience as a journalist writing about industry developments and the strategic direction of the Security Ligue
  • Language(s): Native English speaking is required – additional languages are a bonus
  • Practical proficiency in online publishing
  • Experience working with traditional and digital media, both consumer and trade publications/channels
  • Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, energetic, open-minded, self-starter, with own ideas to gradually develop the reach of the organization
  • A doer, a team player, be goal-oriented and flexible
  • Someone that is creative and can bring new and eye-catching ideas to the table.
  •  Creative writing experience
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, and all forms of blogs and social media.


Desirable characteristics

  • Existing security industry experience is preferable
  • Fluent in digitalization and the technology available to the security industry developments and all their interrelated complexities and dependencies
  • To work in distant office, with occassional weekends

Assignment Terms
The assignment will be mandated to an individual person or a team, on the base of a flat rate monthly remuneration. The person or the team can work from a distant working location but is requested to travel once a month to the International Security Ligue’s HQ in Switzerland.
